A Movie

It’s Monday! The beginning of a new week. We all get another chance.

I had an experience yesterday. Theresa invited me out to see a movie. I haven’t been to see a movie in months. And so off we went. Now, which movie it was isn’t important. What is important is what we did: Two grown women rode together to the theater, parked the car, bought tickets and popcorn, and went inside to find our seats. Of course, we talked all through the previews, but when the movie started, we were quiet. It was a good movie, light and entertaining, with well-known actors in an easy to follow good story. There was a happy ending--my favorite kind.

And for those 2 hours, I forgot that I was sick. Thanks, Theresa.

Glad you got the chance to escape for a little while! It's always fun to be so caught up in someone else's world that for a time, you forget you live in a different one. After all, you deserve a vacation after all this hard work of being sick! I mean, it really takes effort to make yourself look pitiful, sound appropriately miserable, and pretend to be the sick person pretending to be cheerful.

Well, I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you. I miss you! I don't have nearly as much fun while I'm goofing off at work now. I mean, I actually have to do some work, since I don't have such highly amusing coworkers to distract me anymore.

Glad you're feeling better! Keep taking it easy! That dust will just have to wait. Mine does. If yours gives you a hard time with that, just sent it over to my house and my dust will teach it how it's done. My dust has lots of practice with waiting. ;-)

Love you,
Molly

i was going to post some smart-assed comment but there's nothing there. What i see is this woman who has told the beast to take a hike, made him go barefoot, and spread tacks on the road.

i wish i were half as tough as you...

Hey Girl,
It just hit me tonight....had to share. I remember when this blog was an idea hatched in a phone call. Now, as I sit here looking at the months contained in your "archives", I am moved, amazed, raised up, and, above all else, left with a sense of admiration for the woman I call my friend.
Thank you for all you do for US!
Love you. I have a big hug from the Saint for you.....I will get there.

I decided to put a blog together for 2 reasons. I have cancer and am undergoing treatments. I wanted a record of events, and I also knew I wouldn't be able to update everyone constantly. You know how it goes: the first person who calls gets very good information. The 10th person gets, "I'm fine, kinda tired. Can we talk later?", which I thought wasn't fair. The response has been awesome; I never expected this kind of success. Thanks, Blogger! And thanks to all who read, respond, and care.
